The Nigeria Army has, for a repeated time, sent out
a warning to the members of the Boko Haram terror group, asking them to give up
their futile struggle and face the law or risk a final crushing as troops claim
knowledge of their remaining hideouts.
The Army has since described the heightened cases
of bombings across parts of northern Nigeria as normal show of relevance that
is expected of a dying group whose mission was to undermine constituted
authority.
Spokesman of the nation’s army, Sani Kukasheka
Usman, a ranked Colonel, said soldiers have not only succeeded in decimating
the terrorists, confiscated most of their weapons and destroyed several
bomb-making and training camps, they have also been able to identify the dens
where the remaining few insurgents were holding fort.
In a statement issued to the media last night,
Colonel Usman, who is the Acting Director Army Public Relations said the Boko
Haram still have chance to life if they would give up their acts of terrorism
like many of their colleagues had done, so that they could be tried in the
court of law.

“This is to once again warn all Boko Haram terrorists wherever
they are, to desist from all acts of terrorism, surrender themselves and face
the law now”, said Colonel Usman.
“We wish to inform them that we are aware of all their hideouts,
camps and enclaves.
“They should follow their colleagues who have so far
surrendered. Failure to surrender will result in serious consequences as our
troops are fast closing up with them.
“We equally appeal to all Nigerians to kindly persuade them to
desist and renounce their membership of the terrorist organization forthwith”.
