Careless CivilianJTF operatives caused discovered explosives to kill 63 in Monguno

At least 63 innocent lives were wasted in Monguno town  of Borno state on Tuesday when members of the Civilian-JTF decided to on their own to deal with a bag of bombs they discovered at a deserted Boko Haram camp. 

Witnesses said Civilian-JTF operatives patrolling Monguno-Marte road stumbled upon an 'abandoned baggage of explosive which they took back to the town. 

As curious residents gathered to see what was contained in the bag, the explosives went off killing at least 63 and injured many others. 

"We counted at least 63 bodies all affected by the blast", said Haruna Bukar, a member of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria. 

Monguno is 135km away from Maiduguri, Borno state capital.
