Update on Ashaka attack; Boko Haram cart away dynamites from cement factory

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists who had attacked Ashaka town and took over the cement factory in the town on Tuesday, had reportedly evacuated all dynamites used by the factory in blasting gypsum - a major ingredient used in processing cement. 

A worker at the factory who was lucky to have escaped the attack said after shooting and bombing some parts of facility,  the insurgents broke into store where the dynamites were being kept and carted them away in a truck. 

"All the dynamites were swept away by the terrorists who loaded them in to their trucks and left with them", said the source who  begged not to be named.

This blog gathered that has today ordered the closure of all public and private schools in the state, in reaction to the Ashaka attack and a recent bomb blast in the state capital.

Pupils and students were turned back in their various school gates following the closure ordered by the state government. 

Alhaji Sani Jauro, the Permanent Secretary at the Government House, was quoted by journalists to have confirmed the development,  but said the closure was in respect of the normal mid-term break and related to the security. 

There is heightened tension among residents of the northeast States,  especially,  Adamawa,  Borno,  Gombe and Yobe who are expressing fears that there might be more cases of increased cases bomb explosions in the days ahead.
