Nigerian soldiers celebrate killing of top Boko Haram leader, 18 others

A notorious commander of the Boko Haram insurgents who goes by the nom de guer, Ameer Dalore, was amongst the 19 members of the Nigerian Islamist militia gunned down by Nigerian troops currently  fighting the insurgency in the country's northeast, officials said.
Ameer Dalore who commanded one of the deadliest terror camps in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno state was famed for his vicious killings and beheading of innocent persons in that axis.
He and his colleagues met their Waterloo on Sunday when troops, using Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles forged through landmines of buried Explosives to tackle Ameer Dalore.

Spokesman of the nation's army, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said the operation was executed by
"Elements of 22 Brigade Garrison.
"The troops carried out clearing operation at Dalore camp on Sunday  in which they killed  19 Boko Haram terrorists among whom was Ameer of Dalore.
The troops also captured 2 AK-47 Rifles, 1 Small Machine Gun and 1 Hand Grenade and recovered 4 pickup vehicles.
A total of 67 hostages, comprising women and children were rescued  from the terrorists.
"The freed hostages are  undergoing screening at Internally Displaced Persons in Dikwa.
"Unfortunately, during the operation the troops MRAP vehicle ran into an  Improvised Explosive Device and had a damaged  tyre"
