Nigerian Vigilante nab 17 Boko Haram terrorists in Borno village

By Blogger

Officials of the Nigeria Vigilante Group had Wednesday in Askira-uba local government area of Borno state arrested 17 'wondering' members of the Boko Haram that got dislodged after a military operation in Bazza village of Adamawa state.

According to the Borno state chairman of the Vigilante,  Adamson Tar, who confirmed the development,  the Boko Haram terrorists,  carrying empty rifles,  were caught trying to return to Sambisa .

A resident of Askira Uba,  Musa Janada, alao confirmed this to ECHOESINN Blogger in Maiduguri.

"I was called by my younger brother in Uba that 17 of the Boko Haram terrorists were creeping through the bush when some Vigilante Group members spotted them,  and when they fired at them,  the terrorists couldn't return fire as expected rather they started fleeing; that was how they chased and rounded them up.  They were handed over to the soldiers",  he said.

But Janada said he was afraid for the safety of his kinsmen in Askira-uba.

"Now that they had arrested Boko Haram terrorists and took them to the security agents,  I fear that this could anger the Boko Haram and cause them to attack the villages and towns there just like they did to Damboa, Gwoza,  Bama and Konduga towns",  he said.
