Bomb Scare make soldiers enforce 72 hours ban on vehicles in Northeast Nigerian city

Worried about that Eid elkabir, Muslims end of Ramadan 30 days Lent, could be turned bloody by Boko Haram terrorists who may detonate explosives at prayer grounds,  soldiers had decreed a 3-day ban on vehicles and motorists.

The military had suspected that Boko Haram would used cars lamented and world by explosives to committed mass attacks in the city of Maiduguri the birth place of Boko Haram. 

A statement issued by an army spokesman, Col for Muhammed Dole made this known in a statement he signed on behalf of Headquarters of the 7 Division of the Nigeria Army,  Maiduguri.

RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR MOVEMENT IN MAIDUGURI METROPOLIS FROM 28-30 JULY 2014

1. The report at the disposal of the security agencies reveals that the terrorist have perfected plans to launch multiple bomb explosions in Maiduguri metropolis.  Their main targets include sallah praying ground markets and other public places by using vehicles such as Volkswagen Golf, Pick Up vans, Keke NAPEP, Motorcycles and Bicycles.

2. In view of this, all vehicular movement within the Maiduguri city is banned from Monday, 28th – Wednesday, 30th July, 2014. Members of the general public are advised to perform their Eidil Fitri prayer at prayer grounds nearest to their residences. While necessary security measures are being put in place, people are requested to comply fully with this ban as defaulters will be severely sanctioned. 

3. Member of the public are also requested to report any suspicious movement of persons or vehicles to the nearest security agencies
